The Altamont Apparel brand is owned by Sole Technology, Inc. and was founded in 2006 by Justin Regan and Andrew Reynolds. The brand name refers to the events of 1969. at the Altamont track where a free concert by the Rolling Stones was held. The tragic events of that day forever linked the word 'Altamont' with the end of one phase of youth culture and the beginning of a new one. The incidents at Altamont reminded the world that ignorance is not always bliss, and for those who choose to ignore or refuse to accept the hard truths of the world, consequences await. Altamont Apparel accepts these truths as they are and assumes responsibility for fairly reflecting the realities of the street. The result is a unique departure from traditional skate style.
