The Killing Floor is an independent skateboarding brand run by Portland-based John Vitale
in the state of Oregon. John had a skateboard store in Northern California, sfront it and wanted to make
something more, but still skateboarding. And so he thought of a company that presents an interesting
perspective and make it visually different from most of what was out there at the time
on the market. John painted a lot over the years, something like abstract expressionism, dealt with
collages and other digital forms of art and design, but with TKF he always wanted to do graphic design,
which would be different from what other brands were doing. To be honest, he didn't know how he would be received...
but it continues to grow and change with each season.
